Seventh Grade Curriculum Guide

Seventh graders look forward to increased responsibility and independence as they enter the Upper School. They serve as role models for younger students and contribute positively to the everyday operation of the school. Students focus on working together for themselves as individuals and for the intellectual and social growth of the class. Emphasis is placed on promoting a positive, supportive atmosphere in all situations, whether academic, social, or physical.

Mt Moosilauke 7th grade independent School class trip

Field trip to Mt. Moosilauke in the White Mountains

  • Students explore the New England landscape both on campus in forest plots chosen by the students, and during a field trip to Mount Moosilauke in the White Mountains.
  • The spring trip to Quebec City, Canada, gives the students a chance to practice their French and gain a better understanding of the historical connection between Vermont and our northern neighbor.
  • Every seventh and eighth grader participates in the Spring Musical. This builds spirit and confidence in each student and is a wonderful performing arts event for the whole school and greater community.
